Heat
is an American detective-drama film made in 1995 by director Michael Mann. Starring famous actors such as Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The film is about the tension between detectives and robbers investigating a bank robbery in Los Angeles.

De Niro plays the robber Neil McCauley and Pacino plays the detective Vincent Hanna, who works to solve the heist. Other notable roles include Val Kilmer, Ashley Judd, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Diane Venora and Natalie Portman.

Heat received generally positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success. The film was also praised for its extensive action sequences and clever script.

Heat follows a clever cat-and-mouse game between detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino) and robber leader Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) who investigates the robbers' escape following a major bank robbery in Los Angeles.

At the beginning of the movie, McCauley decides to rob a shipping company's office at a large airport storage facility. During the robbery, Waingro, a member of the team, kills a security guard. After this incident, the police are after the robbers and the detectives led by Hanna organize an operation to catch the robbers.

Meanwhile, McCauley is about to escape from an airport and decides to hold a meeting at a casino invited by another robber, Van Zant. Meanwhile, Hanna has been tracking McCauley and making plans to catch him.


Throughout the film, we also learn about the robbers' personal lives and businesses. McCauley wants to continue the heists with his loyal team. However, the idea of starting a new life with Eady (Amy Brenneman), who is in love with him, is also on his mind.

Later in the movie, Hanna and her team follow the robbers, while McCauley and his team try to eliminate the dangers around them. Eventually, the conflict escalates and Hanna and McCauley experience a major conflict between the two.

With its clever script, gripping action sequences, and famous cast, Heat is considered a classic among detective films.
