Starman (1984)

Starman, directed by John Carpenter and starring Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen, stands out as a sci-fi romantic movie.

The movie begins with the arrival of Starman, an alien being, to Earth. Starman quickly transforms into human form and later enters the home of a woman named Jenny, played by Karen Allen. Jenny initially sees Starman as a threat, but later learns that he is actually an alien being and that her purpose in coming to Earth is to make a child with the DNA of one of her lovers lost in space.

Jenny and Starman travel to different parts of the Earth to get to Starman's house. Meanwhile, federal agencies chase them down to catch Starman. While a romantic bond forms between Jenny and Starman, Starman's interaction with people is also discussed.

Starman has difficulty understanding human behavior and learns about human emotions. Also, the movie deals with people's reaction to alien beings. At the end of the movie, Starman and Jenny are captured by federal agents, but Starman's DNA fuses with the embryo inside Jenny, and Starman's alien presence mingles with humanity.
